You are an indispensable part of the winning Bid Management Team. You do every tender project together with this team and you like it when everyone on the team is intensively involved. You enjoy being responsible for a project from A-Z. You put together a team of colleagues with the right expertise to help you with the call for tenders. Our colleagues understand the importance of tenders and are motivated to help. You ensure that everyone keeps sparring with each other throughout each project to continuously improve quality. You give constructive feedback and enjoy feedback on your work. Because you too know: together we win more and more.
You also think it is cool to work together in a different way than usual and to experiment in this; we base our cooperation on the Agile method. This method ensures that we can spend enough time on each project to make it a professional project! Together with the Head of Bid Management, you decide exactly how we will organise this collaboration.

Best winning bid management team in the Netherlands. We are investing in a newly formed team, which you will be part of! We now work a lot with external expertise, led by our Head of Bid Management, but want to take the next step. We are going to build the best winning bid management team in the Netherlands. And we won't stop until we are (and when we are)!
Together realistic. You probably also want to win all tenders. Should it fail once, we will learn together what we will do better next time. In Hero's winning bid management team, we emphasise together. Working together, deciding together, learning together, winning together and celebrating together. That too is part of being the best!
Working in a growth company. We have professionalised Bid Management within Hero in recent years and it has paid off! Our win rate over 2023 is 42% and we have won great deals, such as Ministry of Defence, Utrecht University, Wageningen University & Research and the Municipality of Haarlem. Our turnover has been growing by at least 40% year on year for 5 years. Growth is a goal in itself for Hero, which is why we want to continue growing by at least 40% a year for the next 10 years. Hero's winning bid management team's ambition is to enable at least half of this revenue growth every year.
At the office. We work at our offices in Wognum. Why? Because becoming the best doesn't work if everyone works individually at home behind their laptops. But don't worry: we have a specially equipped room for the winning bid management team with places to both work undisturbed and collaborate. Furthermore, our chef provides everyone with a full and varied lunch every day. In our own game room we have a pool table and table tennis, darts and a giga-screen where you can play FIFA. Great for blowing off some steam after hard work, in other words. At the office, we also have small drinks every Friday, a XXXL drinks party every quarter and several team outings per year.
Social impact. We think making social impact is very important. We are a signatory of the Diversity Charter and socially involved at national and regional level. We sponsor and participate in activities for Leekerweide, an organisation that provides care, support and treatment to people with disabilities. We are active for the Westfriese Uitdaging Foundation, an entrepreneurial network based on corporate social responsibility. We sponsored ‘Education Nepal close to home’, which has already enabled 250 children from Nepal to enjoy education. We also sponsor the local sports club Spartanen and donate to charities such as KWF cancer, Princess Beatrix Fund and ‘Nederland Schoon’.
What do you possess?
- Minimum hbo working and thinking level
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bid Manager (preferably in the flex market or other business services)
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both oral and written
- Excellent command of process and project work
- You can collaborate at all levels, have keen commercial acumen and persuasiveness.
- In your work, you are precise, analytical and have an eye for detail
Our reward!
- The salary for this position is between €5,000 and € 6.500 gross per month, based on of full-time and dependent on experience.
- Besides this salary, you can claim your sports subscription monthly as well as your internet and phone charges.
